David Kidd is the research director of Project Zero's Humanities and Liberal Arts Assessment (HULA) project, based at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. At HULA, he works to develop new methods for assessing humanistic learning and development that are grounded in humanists' practices and goals. This approach capitalizes on the expertise of humanists and helps ensure that assessments are aligned with humanists' methods. This method has been applied in studies of public humanities programs, as well as undergraduate ethics education, and civic education. David received a PhD in Social Psychology from the New School for Social Research in 2015, where he was a postdoctoral fellow before joining PZ full-time in 2017.
